The reason for the deletion of text (now highlighted in green) on page 5 regarding the balance of development and use of green belt. In our view this simply captures the key principles of meeting objectively assessed need in a green belt area (following the Hunston Properties Court of Appeal case in St Albans) 2. Additional wording with regard to further work on the possible A555 junction (purple highlight, bottom of page 7) which recognises that this may encompass land within Stockport Borough. With these proviso’s the MOU is now good to proceed from our perspective. Please let me know if you are happy with these suggested amendments or have any further issues Kind regards Adrian Adrian Fisher Head of Strategic & Economic Planning Cheshire East Council Westfields Sandbach Cheshire CW11 1HZ 01270 686 641 From: Paul Lawrence [mailto:paul.lawrence@stockport.gov.uk] Sent: 14 February 2014 15:36 To: SIMPSON, Caroline Cc: SUAREZ, Mike; FISHER, Adrian G (Planning & Housing); ROSS, Andrew; PENNY, Stuart; Eamonn Boylan; Jim McMahon; Richard Wood Subject: RE: MoU Stockport + Cheshire East All – please see revised attached following the discussion today.
